Founded by Tabitha & Benjamin Moore in Norristown, PA, T&B Luxe grew from our own kitchen and pasture - a family of seven on a mission for cleaner, more nourishing self-care. We render every batch of tallow by hand, source locally, and know our farmers by name.

The power of T&B Luxe Tallow
T&B Luxe Tallow is developed using our proprietary method of hand-rendering and hand-purifying beef suet using Mediterranean sea salt in small batches. Unlike most tallow-based products, T&B Luxe does NOT source our tallow pre-rendered in bulk that incorporates methods that use iodine salt, baking soda, and other non-complimentary ingredients. We source locally. We know our farmers.

Does tallow skincare smell like meat?+
No. Properly rendered and purified tallow is clean and neutral. TB Luxe hand-renders grass-fed tallow in small batches with Mediterranean Sea salt, which removes impurities and odor, and scents products only with steam-distilled essential oils, so it never smells like beef.
I got tallow cream before and it smelled like meat, why is that?+
That almost always comes down to how the tallow was rendered. Cheaply or improperly rendered tallow can hold on to a beefy odor. We hand-render and hand-purify our grass-fed tallow in small batches with Mediterranean Sea salt, which lifts out impurities and odor, then scent only with steam-distilled essential oils. The result is clean and neutral, never meaty.
Is tallow cream supposed to feel greasy or oily?+
No. Quality tallow should absorb rather than sit on top of the skin. Because tallow closely mimics the oils your skin already makes, it sinks in and leaves skin soft instead of slick, and our creams are whipped to a light, fast-absorbing texture. If a tallow product feels greasy, it is usually over-applied or made with heavier added oils. A little goes a long way.
Is tallow good for sensitive or eczema-prone skin?+
Many customers with sensitive, dry, or eczema-prone skin reach for tallow because it is simple, fragrance-gentle, and supports the skin barrier with vitamins A, D, E and K. It is not a medical treatment - always patch test, and see a professional for medical concerns.
What does "grass-fed tallow" mean and why does it matter?+
Grass-fed tallow is rendered from cattle raised on pasture rather than grain. Research shows grass-fed beef fat tends to be richer in fat-soluble vitamins, antioxidants, and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) than grain-fed, which is why we source locally from pasture-raised stock.
Are TB Luxe products dye-free and chemical-free?+
Yes. Every product is made with no chemicals, preservatives, artificial colorants, parabens, fragrance oils, aluminum, sulfates, or impurities - using steam-distilled essential oils only.
